The Nova Scotia GED has changed

The new CAEC is free for Nova Scotia residents.

The Canadian Adult Education Certificate (CAEC) is a new credential that replaces the General Educational Development (GED) test in Canada. The CAEC is for people who don’t have a high school diploma.

The CAEC is designed with the skills and knowledge required in today’s job market, providing a more relevant and practical certification for adult learners. It opens the doors to many employment opportunities.

Learning that works for you

Programs in your community designed to help you succeed

The Western Halifax Community Learning Network provides our community with essential skills instruction and support. We are active members of our community and advocate for system and policy changes that will increase access to opportunities for everyone.

We work one-on-one with students to improve literacy and digital skills. We also help learners prep for the Nova Scotia GED.
